Summary/Abstract: The 2024 Romanian presidential elections highlighted the significant impact of digital media on electoral decisions. This article examines the campaign of Călin Georgescu, an independent candidate who won the first round with over 2 million votes by leveraging digital platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. Through advanced microtargeting techniques, conspiracy narratives, and an anti-establishment image, Georgescu capitalized on voters' frustrations with traditional parties. The study emphasizes the role of the socio-political context in amplifying the effectiveness of these strategies and underscores the importance of studying the collective psychological component in contemporary electoral processes.
