Summary/Abstract: This study aims to examine the translation strategies implemented by Polish learners at level B2+ in the oral theme exercise. The research hypothesis is based on the principle of the difficulty non-French speakers have in appropriating and using the subjunctive. The analysis of the corpus of the interlanguage of Polish learners reveals numerous problems linked to the meaning, morphosyntax, coherence and cohesion of the statements that are translated. It also reveals an excessive number of errors (not corresponding to level B2) caused by the difficulty that occurs during translation requiring the use of this grammatical construction. The study focuses on the strategies used by learners who resort to various practices, sometimes modifying the meaning of the original sentences.
