Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes the language preferences of students at private uni-versities in Poland based on research conducted at Collegium Da Vinci in Poznań.Dominant trends in the choice of languages and reading formats were identified, tak-ing into account the respondents’ motivations. Particular attention was given to theEnglish language, which is widely used around the world. The availability of booksin minority languages in Polish libraries and the needs of readers in this regard werealso addressed. The article also discusses preferred data presentation formats, such asfilms, books, and podcasts, which meet the needs of the contemporary reader.
