Summary/Abstract: Due to the German occupation ofPomerania and Kuyavia during World War IIand the German-Soviet warfare in 1945, buildings(residential, commercial, industrial, sacred) andelements of small architecture (commemorations,monuments) were destroyed. Th is article describesthe scale of destruction, considering the culturallandscape theory in the post-war PomeranianVoivodeship with its capital in Bydgoszcz in 1945.Th e buildings were reconstructed in many places,but the cultural landscape was changed forever insome areas.
