The contribution of Tsveta Krastenyakova and Krastyo Pishurka to the education in Vratsa and Lom

Summary/Abstract: Two are the personalities that leave enduring trace in the education in Vratsa. The young, barely 24-year-old Krastyo Pishurka teaches with a lot of determination in the boys’ school in Vratsa. During that period in the town serves that Bulgaria-loving bishop Agapiy, who establishes the first girls’ school about 1840, and where the beautiful Tsveta Krastenyakova is a teacher. But… differences occur and the bishop chases Pishurka away from Vratsa. The teacher leaves for Lom and there he carries out his educational and cultural work.
