Summary/Abstract: Adopting responsible consumption in Romania requires an integrated approach involving government, business, non-governmental organizations, and last but not least, citizens. Through awareness raising, education, and facilitating access to information, Romania can build a society in which responsible consumption becomes the norm, thus contributing to protecting the environment and promoting a sustainable and fair economy. Romania faces significant challenges related to sustainability and social responsibility, and adopting responsible consumption is a key way to contribute to solving these problems. The research is based on qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA), which is used to identify the factors and combinations of conditions that influence the adoption of responsible consumption. This paper presents the actions that determine this adoption and identifies the most effective solutions to support the process. The study focusses on ways to promote responsible consumption in Romania, highlighting concrete strategies to stimulate the behavioral changes necessary for a more sustainable society. Natural resources are increasingly scarce, so the environmental impact needs to be minimized, under these conditions responsible consumption becomes an essential objective. Change must be at both individual and corporate levels.
