Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the results of the psychometric properties of the Mental Workload Questionnaire (CarMen-Q) in Bulgarian. The CarMen-Q is a 29-item self-report questionnaire examining the following components: cognitive, emotional, temporal and performance demands. Confirmatory factor analysis from a research work conducted with 192 respondents presents evidence for the four-factor structure of the questionnaire. The internal consistency of the scales conforms strongly with the published by the authors values of the questionnaire (Cronbach’s alpha in the Spanish sample has values between 0.79 and 0.905, in the Bulgarian sample - between 0.78 and 0.909). Results from correlation analysis are presented to support the validity of the CarMen-Q measurement.
