Summary/Abstract: This article is dedicated to Margaret Atwood’s novel The Testaments (2019) and its relation to politics, feminism, and fiction. The paper will also introduce the fourth wave of feminism and analyze how women's narration processes transform into resistance. The sequel to Margaret Atwood's celebrated debut novel, The Handmaid's Tale (1985), appeared thirty-four years later. The new media associated with the fourth wave of feminism and emerging movements, including #MeToo, were active during Donald Trump's first term as president. Consequently, Atwood declared in an interview that the world was moving in the direction of Gilead rather than moving away from it, which motivated her to write a sequel. (Feldman, 2019).
