Summary/Abstract: The sense of security is an individual’s one-sided personal expression refer-ring to one’s awareness of existing threats and potential possibilities of theirprevention. Thus we can observe a permanent development of technologiesdeveloped to meet the needs of military operations aimed at neutralizingthreats related to explosives of military origin, as well as any improvised explo-sive devices. Threats are the events that adversely affect life, health, propertyor the environment, therefore, the mentioned technologies can be used inthe civilian market as well. This article presents military systems that havebeen developed by Alford Technologies Ltd. (‘The World’s Leading Provid-er of User-Filled Explosive Chargers and Disruptors’). The systems that havebeen named ReBar Cutters™ and DIOPLEX™ have been developed to savethe lives of soldiers, military equipment and any relevant infrastructure whileconducting a wide scope of combat operations throughout the world. Thesystems can for example be easily used as an alternative support for miningrescue teams during mine rescue operations. The authors intend to presentthe above-mentioned systems due to their precision, accuracy, and most im-portantly, because the products are user-filled and therefore can be preparedon site and ready to use very fast. Tests of systems named ReBar Cutters™and DIOPLEX™ presented in the study were carried out in Zakłady GórniczePolkowice-Sieroszowice Oddział KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. at a depth of 850 min order to check their effectiveness in the future environment (pressure, hu-midity, temperature, dust). The presented shaped charges with cumulativeinsert were elaborated with explosives used in mining–RIOPRIME 25 (MiniPrimer) and ERGODYN 22E–and used for the cut steel structural elements(steel anchor rod), steel leveling cable, sheathed electric mining cable andan element form bucket loader type LKP 903. The tests were not financed, and the obtained results were part of the research in one of the author’sPhD dissertation.
