Summary/Abstract: Authentic learning is a key concept in education that aims to connect the instructional process with real-life experiences, transforming learning into a meaningful and relevant experience for students. In a constantly changing world, authentic learning proves its value through its capacity to develop essential competencies such as critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration. These competencies are indispensable not only for academic success but also for personal development and career advancement. Through active involvement in authentic learning, students become active participants in the educational process, learning to apply knowledge in concrete and relevant real-world contexts. In primary education, authentic learning finds its applicability through various methods and tools that transform lessons into opportunities for exploration, discovery, and meaningful engagement. Thematic projects and creative workshops offer students the chance to express their ideas, explore personally meaningful topics, and interact with instructional content in an interactive way. Such activities enable students to make connections between what they learn in school and the world around them, deepening their understanding and interest in the topics addressed. Learning through play and exploration, another key element of authentic learning, allows students to grasp abstract concepts in a practical and interactive manner. When students have the freedom to explore new ideas through activities such as group discussions, games, and experiments, they develop problem-solving skills and learn to think critically and creatively. These activities not only make learning more enjoyable but also more effective, as they respond to different learning styles and encourage active participation. This study aims to investigate the perspectives of students enrolled in the Primary and Preschool Pedagogy program regarding their understanding of the authentic learning concept, the advantages of applying it in the design of classroom activities, and, most importantly, its role in developing essential competencies in pupils.
