Summary/Abstract: On June 13, 2024, the European Parliament and the Council adopted an amendment to the Directive on preventing and combating trafficking in human beings and protecting its victims, which replaced Council Framework Decision 2002/629/JHA. Member States have two years to adopt the legislative measures necessary to implement the provisions of the Directive. The article seeks to analyse and assess the new provisions, with particular emphasis on their impact on Polish legislation and the obligations they impose on various entities. It also offers a brief reflection on the state of implementation of Directive 2011/36/EU as originally drafted.
