Summary/Abstract: In this article, the author presents the worldview formulated by St. Thomas Aquinas. The first section examines the multifaceted nature of human knowledge, encompassing the main domains identified since antiquity: physics, mathematics, metaphysics, and theology. The second section explores the role of these forms of knowledge in shaping a worldview, with particular emphasis on metaphysical knowledge, which Aquinas regarded as the foundation for all other kinds of knowledge. The third section discusses the key aspects of explaining reality through metaphysical inquiry, including the multiplicity and diversity of beings, their dynamism, identity, contingency, rationality, purposefulness, and causality. It also addresses the issues of creation ex nihilo, the eternity and beginning of the world, the participation of being, and the understanding of both God and the human person. The conclusion highlights those aspects of Aquinas’ worldview that remain relevant and can inspire contemporary thought.
