Summary/Abstract: The Cantacuzino Chronicle is known to be a compilation of chronicles from Wallachia, originating in the early days of the local Middle Ages and ending sometime in the late 17th century. This historical-literary construct, of which several dozen copies have survived, was written during the reign of Constantin Brâncoveanu by a learned nobleman, whose identity remains uncertain among scholars. Iorga, along with other historians, identifies him as Stoica Ludescu. / Poems by Floriana Avramescu.
