Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to identify the attitudes of consumers (patients) towards management solu-tions based on innovative organizational and technological solutions in the process of monitoringthe health of a patient with heart failure. The article has been prepared on the basis of the literatureon the subject and the results of direct research carried out with a help of questionnaire distributedto patients covered by the study entitled: Improvement of the health of patients with heart failurethrough the pilot implementation of telemedicine services in the Upper Silesian Medical Center in Katowice. The research was concerned with—amongst other things—selected elements of patients’behaviour and their opinions on the innovative method of health monitoring. Modern technologiesallow medical personnel to be supported in the process of diagnosing the disease and planningits treatment. More and more often, they also allow for monitoring the condition of a patient out-side the medical facility and—what is particularly important—for a relatively quick response ina situation where his health and life are at risk. They provide reliable and objective informationabout the patient’s health between follow-up visits. The effectiveness of the implemented solutionsdepends to a large extent on the patient attitudes, their openness to new solutions and willingnessto cooperate with medical personnel.
