Summary/Abstract: The presented text is a scientifically substantiated study of a long-term and highly complex – in chronological terms – procedure (sub-ject of scientific research) with military-political properties, whichin 2024 resulted in the signing of a Polish-American agreement re-garding the purchase of the world’s most advanced helicopters –Apache AH-64 attack helicopters. The aim of the scientific research– primarily cognitive (theoretical) – is to highlight the key determi-nants influencing the final signing of the international agreementin question. Thus, the research problem – formulated as an openquestion requiring narration – is contained in the following ques-tion: What were the key factors that led to the decision in 2024,after many complex attempts by the Polish side to sign an agree-ment for the purchase of modern multi-role helicopters, to opt forthe state-of-the-art Apache AH-64 helicopters as highly significantmeans of destructive impact in the Army aviation grouping? In solv-ing the research problem, typical methods of empirical scienceswere used, with theoretical properties, including analysis, synthe-sis, abstraction, reasoning, analogy, and induction. The result ofthe previous scientific research is a substantive characteristic of theaforementioned determinants, including the set of key conditionsof the agreement for this purchase, the armament of the AH-64Dhelicopter (in the US Army configuration), the helicopter’s technicalsuitability and crew survivability on the battlefield, and the issuesrelated to the current and target aviation personnel training system.
