Summary/Abstract: The article depicts the political situation of the Serbs in Croatia, Slavonia and Dalmatia between the parliamentary elections of 1923 and 1925, particularly in connection with the founding of the Independent Democratic Party headed by Svetozar Pribićević, which became the representative of the Serbian ethnic community in the Croat territory. The results of the third parliamentary elections (1925) were analyzed according to Croat precincts. It was established that the Serbs in Croatia and Slavonia obtained the proportional number of deputes in the Parliament of the Kingdom of the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes only in mid- 1920s: 18 MPs, or 26.47%, which is somewhat more than the percentage of the Serbs in the overall ethnic make-up. Five MP of Serbian nationality were elected in Dalmatia, or 31.25%, which is much more than was their share in the overall population.
