Monitoring the Outcomes of an Educational Technology for Developing Health and Environmental Competencies in “Man and Nature” Education 5th -6th grades

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the control component of a didactic technology designed to implement health and environmental education within the subject Science and the Environment for Grades 5 and 6. It outlines the key characteristics of educational control as an essential element of the learning process, detailing the stages of its implementation, as well as the methods and tools appropriate for assessment at the 5th-6th grade level. The rationale for selecting didactic tests as the primary method for evaluation and control within the proposed technological framework is substantiated. Criteria and indicators for diagnosing students’ health and environmental competencies have been identified and applied in the development of two didactic tests for the chemistry module of Science and the Environment in Grades 5 and 6, respectively. The test designed for assessing student outcomes in Grade 6 is presented in the appendix. Statistical analysis and interpretation of the empirical results obtained from the implementation of the tests will be the focus of a subsequent publication.
