Summary/Abstract: Given the declining interest in teaching careers, encouraging students to pursue education appears idealistic. This study explores the impact of an ESP Methodology and Didactics module offered to Philology graduate students from Babeș-Bolyai University that aims to support their professional and linguistic development. Two primarily quantitative surveys assess how well the course meets students’ needs and goals. The module’s main aim is to prepare students for potential careers in education, simultaneously equipping them with academic and ESP skills for broader postgraduate success in related fields such as translation, interpretation, or editing. Findings suggest that while the teaching career is a better contoured option for some students after attending the module, most would benefit from attending these courses in their preparation for other Philology related jobs.
