Summary/Abstract: This article offers a concise perspective on wordless books and the way they can claim a legitimate place within the literary field. Through the analysis of two representative examples, "The Snowman" by Raymond Briggs and "The Arrival" by Shaun Tan, it supports the idea that a story without words can possess the same aesthetic, educational, and cultural qualities as any other literary work. "The Snowman" presents an idyllic, nostalgic vision appreciated by generations, while "The Arrival" offers a more serious perspective, grounded in contemporary realities. Positioned at opposite ends of the genre spectrum, the two works illustrate the narrative diversity and potential of wordless books.
