Summary/Abstract: The paper provides a brief view at the personalities of folklorism: Rinald Oláh and Ján Berky-Mrenica, who fundamentally influenced the perception and interpretation of folk songs in a scenic environment and the penetration of classical music into their work and vice versa. We present a brief analysis of the text “Borovka” by Rinaldo Oláh and its adaptation by Tadeáš Salva and “Hájiček, háj” by Ján Berky-Mrenica.
