Summary/Abstract: Solanum nigrum is a tropical plant sometimes used as a vegetable or medicinal plant, especially in treating asthma. This study aimed to determine the phytochemical constituents of the leaf, fruit, and seed of S. nigrum Linn. extracts and evaluate its pharmacological activities via ABTS and DPPH assays. Fresh leaves and fruits were collected, extracted using chloroform, ethyl acetate, and methanol, and evaluated. Alkaloids, tannins, phenolics, flavonoids, steroids, flavosterols, fixed oils, terpenoids, and saponins were present in both leaf and fruit extracts, with fruits having higher concentrations of phenols, flavonoids, and vitamins B1, B2, and C. Ethyl acetate and methanolic extracts exhibited high ABTS and DPPH scavenging capacity, suggesting immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, hepatoprotective, and antioxidant properties, supporting its traditional use in asthma treatment. Future research on the effect of plant extracts on smooth muscles and clinical trials is recommended.
