Summary/Abstract: In the author’s opinion, the bill under consideration is to a large extent modelled on the Constitu‑tional Tribunal Act of 1st August 1997. It provides for a return to regulating in a single act the issuesconcerning the status of the judges of the Constitutional Tribunal, as well as the principles of itswork and the procedure in cases pending before it. It is one of the elements of a broader reformaimed at restoring public confidence in the jurisprudence of the Constitutional Tribunal, eliminat‑ing the defective solutions of the regulations currently in force, and clarifying issues that haveraised doubts in the literature. The author comments on some of the proposed solutions, suchas the proposal to introduce a qualified majority voting in the election of candidates for judges ofthe Constitutional Tribunal, the election of members of the disciplinary court, the regulation of theprinciples of publicity of hearings and the principles of composition of the benches.
