Summary/Abstract: Późna emancypacja późnej nowoczesności. Protesty kobiet w czasie nieliberalizmu Historia ruchów społecznych i – szerzej – społecznych mobilizacji w Polsce ostatniego półwiecza, związana jest nieodłącznie z ruchem Solidarność w 1980 roku i upadkiem komunizmu w 1989 roku. Największe mobilizacje, jakie wydarzyły się od czasów solidarności to mobilizacje kobiet w 2016 i 2020 roku, w czasie tzw. nie-liberalnych rządów skrajnej prawicy (2015–2023). Zostały wywołane prawicową biopolityką – wprowadzeniem drastycznego prawa zakazującego aborcji. Odwołując się do ruchu Solidarność z okresu przemysłowej nowoczesności skontrastuję z nim polskie protesty kobiet pokazując radykalnie odmienne późnonowoczesne uwarunkowania społeczne. Przede wszystkim zaś pokażę przemianę pojęcia solidarności, stojącego u podstaw mobilizacji ulicznych. Przemiana ta pozwala lepiej zrozumieć emancypacyjne deficyty lat 80-tych w Polsce. Przede wszystkim zaś pozwoli unaocznić, że to właśnie prawa kobiet i genderyzacja dyskursu politycznego stały się kluczowym deficytem projektu emancypacyjnego z. roku 1980. Protesty kobiet późnej nowoczesności są dlatego najciekawszych zjawiskiem społecznej emancypacji ostatnich lat w Polsce. Late emancipation in late modernity. Women's protests in times of illiberalism The history of social movements and, more broadly, social mobilisations in Poland during the last half-century, is inextricably linked to the Solidarity movement from 1980 and the fall of communism in 1989. The largest mobilisations that have taken place since Solidarity were the women's protests in 2016 and 2020, during the era of so-called illiberal governance and Polish populism (2015–2023). They were triggered by right-wing biopolitics – the introduction of a harsh abortion law. Referencing the Solidarity movement from the period of industrial modernity, I will contrast it with the Polish women's protests by showing today’s radically different late-modern social conditions. Above all, I will show the transformation of the concept of solidarity that was behind the street mobilisations. Seeing this transformation allows for a better understanding of the lack of emancipatory progress in Poland in the 1980s. Above all, it makes clear that women's rights and the gendering of political discourse were major weak points in the emancipatory project of the 1980s. The women's protests in late modernity are therefore the most interesting phenomenon promoting social emancipation in Poland in recent years.
