Summary/Abstract: Speaking of art, aesthetics, philosophy in general, Predrag Finci has necessarily entered the area of thought, philosophical reflection – media reflection. It is about reflecting on the influence of media on man and society in general. It is also about the warnings that Finci's analyses bring us – warnings about the dangers of uncritical acceptance of media influence. The Electronic Cave is Finci's book that is entirely dedicated to the phenomenon of media mediation. To that extent, this analysis is concentrated on that book, with occasional references to Finci's other works and to the positions of criticism (on Finci's work in general and on The Electronic Cave in particular). Finci refers to the entire history of media mediation, from orality to film and social networks. To that extent, the thought of this aesthetician and philosopher is of exceptional significance for the philosophy of media itself.
