Summary/Abstract: Violent radicalization is a process in continuous metamorphosis that, over time, has attracted individuals from various categories in terms of social, psychological, geographical, economic and, last but not least, age-related characteristics. This research focuses on analyzing recent terrorist casuistry in Europe to identify the psycho-social factors that can lead adolescents to radicalize and commit terrorist attacks, with an emphasis on the role played by the online environment in accelerating these processes. Between 2022 and 2025, international terrorist casuistry has highlighted an alarming increase in the number of minors involved in the planning and commission of terrorist attacks. Known as a period of profound physical, physiological and psychological changes, adolescence can represent a vulnerability exploited by violent radicalization, with current terrorist organizations increasingly orienting their strategies towards the recruitment and radicalization of adolescents. Thus, the benefits offered by the online environment through easy access to violent content, the exploitation of the emotional and psychosocial vulnerabilities of adolescence on social networks, and the orientation of terrorist elements towards recruiting adolescents redefine security risks and determine new challenges in identifying and preventing violent radicalization.
