Summary/Abstract: As climate change has a high degree of scientific complexity, its understanding can be quite inaccessible to the general public, who get in touch with the topic through broadcasting and news. And given that the media contribute significantly to the formation of public perception on this topic, which is socially polarising, it is particularly important from a national security perspective how it is addressed in the press. Therefore, the article aims to synthetically present the way in which the issue of climate change is reflected in the Romanian media and public sphere. There shall be used elements specific to the quantitative and qualitative method, highlighting principal characteristics and trends extracted on the basis of a sampled study of thematic articles published by a media platform over a period of more than ten years, until present moment – December 2024.
