Summary/Abstract: The technological revolution in recent decades has enabled the transition from traditional writing to paper to digital, which also affect its textual characteristics. As with all other languages used on the Internet, writing on the Internet has inevitably changed the Albanian language as well. The digital language today is not only defined by the means of communication, but also from other extra-linguistic factors such as the age, origin, social-economic status of the users, but also from the purpose of the written texts. Changing linguistic tendencies in the Albanian digital sphere reflect social, technological, and cultural changes. The most common are borrowings, abbreviations, and acronyms, moving towards a simpler and faster language. These tendencies reflect the transformation of the Albanian language in a global and digital environment, simultaneously preserving its unique identity while adopting new elements that characterize the new form of writing in social networks. New orthographic features appear in forms, such as vowel lengthening, punctuation, and expressive spelling. In terms of morphology, suffixes and prefixes contribute significantly to strong linguistic expression. On the syntactic level, split sentences and dislocations are common.
