Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to gather information concerning relics with Dacian characteristics, which can be found within collections of Krakow's museums. The course of history of the 19th century resulted in material of the Lipitsa culture from Verhnâ Lipicâ being acquired for the collection of the Archaeological Museum in Krakow. It was due to the two seasons excavation conducted in eponymic site by Izydor Kopernicki in 1889 and 1890. Subsequently, during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, several characteristic Dacian coins were purchased by Polish collectors and eventually was incorporated into the most substantial collection of Polish numismatics. As of today, the Numismatic Cabinet of the National Museum in Krakow houses ten specimens, among which are Huşi-Vovrieşti, Aninoasa-Dobreşti or a Larissa type coins. Finally, archaeological fieldwork conducted in the Krakow area in the second half of the 20th century resulted in the discovery of materials indicating contacts between the population of the so-called Tyniec group and the communities of the Dacian cultural circle. The distinctive form of pottery, known as the dacian cup, was notable within the corpus of discovered vessels. This finding is consistent with the presence of Dacian materials north of the Carpathian Mountains. Archaeological sources suggests that in the 1st century BC and the 1st century AD, the influence of Dacian culture reached as far as Slovakia, western Ukraine and the San River Basin in southeastern Poland.
