Summary/Abstract: In traditional bank’ business model deposits have crucial role as source for financing. The Macedonian banking sector is characterized by the traditional banking model with the participation of the households’ deposits of 67.8% in the total deposit base, which accounts for 49.2% of the banks' financing sources. The purpose of this research is to determine the macroeconomic factors affecting bank deposits in North Macedonia. We used data for banks in North Macedonia for the period from 2013 to 2024. We found that average net-income growth has a positive effect on households’ deposits, but GDP growth rate and unemployment rate don’t have statistically important effect on households’ deposits.
