Summary/Abstract: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its effects in all sectors of activity are a hot topic at the moment and generate a rich scientific literature in various areas of activity. Even though Romania is at an early stage, digitalization and the adoption of AI in the public sector are inevitable, the most notable progress being currently made in the tax field. Although, as the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) pointed out in a 2020 study, the implications of the development and use of AI systems on fundamental rights are unknown, I have tried to point out some of the effects that AI systems can have on the right to a good administration, after a prior review of AI standards and regulations, but also of the current sources of the right to good administration.
