Summary/Abstract: Nun Teodosia (Zorica) Lațcu is one of the prominent figures of Romanian religious poetry with hesychast influence. In her poetic creation, a theme stands out: the encounter of the soul with the Eucharistic Christ, realized through various poetic images, such as the love between the bride and groom, the reception of a mysterious guest, the transformation of the heart and the entire being into a chalice that receives the incarnate Christ, the presence of the Lord in us through word, thought, grace and prayer, or the likeness of the Mother of God to a liturgical chalice. The poetic universe of nuns is not limited to the soul thirsting for God, but extends to the whole nature. It participates in the suffering, joy, growth, transfiguration of the Christified man, brought as an offering to God, who himself has become a living Eucharist. The mysterious union of man with God takes place through the word, through metaphor, through the memory of what is narrated in the Holy Scriptures. But the fullest form of union with Heaven remains the Holy Eucharist, for in it the entire human being, soul and body, participates fully.
