Summary/Abstract: This paper describes the use of the Sandtray in solution-focused therapy for preschool and younger school-aged children in speech-language therapy. A preliminary study with six children (excluding those with specific language impairment, cognitive deficits, or autism) is presented, focusing on one child's experience. The study analyzes verbal and nonverbal aspects of communication using Atlas.ti software. The results highlight the potential of combining Sandtray with solution-focused therapy to address pragmatic language skills, focusing on positive aspects and resource utilization. The study compares this approach to the Scenetest method, highlighting the Sandtray's flexibility and suitability for this age group.
