Summary/Abstract: The traditional handicraft industry, known for its folk value and heritage, remains significant today. Quang Binh province has 29 recognized handicraft villages. However, recent challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, have impacted traditional handicrafts. Key issues are outdated, labor-intensive methods harmful to health and the environment, poor promotion, slow digital transformation, and decreasing orders, reducing competitiveness and market size. This article analyzes the current development status of traditional handicraft industries in Quang Binh and proposes solutions for preserving, promoting, and developing these industries in the context of digital transformation. It uses descriptive statistics and frequency analysis from secondary data (2018 – 2023) and surveys of 103 production facilities and 30 online traditional handicraft customers. The results show that the handicraft industry contributes to job creation and income increase but faces difficulties due to outdated technology and poor digital transformation. To encourage development, it is necessary to apply digital technology, digitize products, provide financial support, encourage investment, and create a supply chain from market research toconsumption. Implementing these solutions will help preserve and develop traditional handicrafts in Quang Binh, meeting production and consumption needs in the digital age.
