Summary/Abstract: The article reviews the social and legal reasons that necessitated the adoption of the Code of Private International Law and examines the impact of dynamic European legislation on its application. A comparative analysis is conducted between the fundamental solutions provided in the Bulgarian legal framework and those in certain European countries. A well-founded assumption is made regarding the future development of the legal framework at both the European and national levels.
