Summary/Abstract: Over the past decade, Professor of Spirituality Daniel Lemeni from Timișoara has consistently brought to the attention of the Romanian public studies of the highest intellectual caliber on the patristic heritage of the first millennium, thereby raising the level of academic discourse within the Romanian theological environment while keeping it rooted in the Church’s tradition. The latest volume he coordinated confirms these claims, both through the selection of authors featured in the volume and through the critical and ecclesiastical approach to the various theories proposed by specialists in hagiographic writings, presented in a condensed introduction preceding the volume.
