LEGAL ASPECTS OF VIP PROTECTION INSURANCE IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

Summary/Abstract: In the paper, the author dealt with the legal aspects of security of VIPs at the level of BiH Institutions, with brief references to the regulation of the subject area and at entity levels, especially from the aspect of historical development. The paper tried to point out the normative-legal aspects of security of VIPs, and the author believes that the above has been slightly neglected in relation to the criminal aspects of the subject area, which have been written about more. At the beginning of the paper, the author gives an overview of the concepts of security and VIP persons, and gives an overview of the historical development of the field of security of VIP persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Also, the paper analyzes the positive legal aspects of security of VIPs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and certain proposals de lege ferenda are given in the paper, which would further qualitatively improve the mentioned area.
