Summary/Abstract: This study explores the factors influencing the adoption of NFC mobile payments, emphasizing trust, convenience, and mobile and technology self-efficacy. By incorporating the Mobile Technology Acceptance Model and Self-Efficacy Theory, it investigates how these elements affect users' behavioural intentions to adopt NFC payments. The research provides valuable insights for financial institutions and brands to develop sustainable mobile payment solutions. A 27-item survey, adapted from established digital and NFC payment scales, was employed to gather data via purposive convenience sampling across major cities in Saudi Arabia, resulting in 392 valid responses. Data analysis was conducted using SmartPLS 4 and SPSS 23 to assess the validity and reliability of both the measurement and structural models. The findings reveal that Mobile Ease of Use, Perceived Trust, Mobile Usefulness, Mobile Self-Efficacy, Technology Self-Efficacy, and Perceived Convenience significantly influence Behavioural Intention, with the exception of the Perceived Convenience to Mobile Usefulness relationship. Mediating roles of Mobile Ease of Use and Usefulness were also identified. The results highlight the significant influence of ease of use and perceived usefulness on the intention to adopt NFC mobile payments. By incorporating elements of Self-Efficacy Theory, the research advances the Mobile Technology Acceptance Model, providing a more holistic framework for future investigations and practical implementation.
