Summary/Abstract: Ensuring high-quality educational and administrative services in higher education institutions (HEIs) requires continuous monitoring of ongoing processes and data-driven management decisionmaking. In recent years, there has been a steady increase in interest in implementing intelligence tools for aggregation and analysis of data on ongoing processes in HEIs (including student applications, student training, academic staff research activity) for the needs of data submission to national registers and decision-making. Developing such tools requires indepth exploration of the processes, selection of appropriate data for processing and software tools for data extraction and visualisation from university systems. This paper presents a comparative analysis of 12 platforms suitable for developing analytical tools for HEI needs based on 16 criteria. The results of the study would assist HEIs in selecting an appropriate tool for building analytical tools. Possible perspectives for future research are exploring examples of the use of the platforms by universities, conducting experimental testing of the tools to solve a specific problem for the needs of HEIs and collecting feedback on the effectiveness of the solutions developed with different platforms.
