Summary/Abstract: An attempt has been made to substantiate the author’s approach to defining the optimal set of scientific methods and approaches for studying the phenomenon of human rights and related phenomena. It is argued that the application of various methods and approaches in scientific research of the complex and multidimensional phenomenon of human rights should be based on the principles of consistency and complementarity to ensure a sufficient level of objectivity and reliability of the results.
