Summary/Abstract: The article examines the special conditions for the formation of a nomadic lifestyle in the postmodern era. The contemporary socio-cultural space of cities is presented as an environment where specific localities that contribute to nomadization emerge – «non-place» and «hole». The «non-place» is understood as a channel of continuous movement, devoid of historicity, and one that creates a dispersion of subjective identity. The «hole» is shown as a node of collision of multidirectional flows, which implies the primary slowing down of the nomad for the free immersion in the «non-place». It is shown that the emergence of «nonplaces» is connected with the process of narrativizing places, constructing them with the help of signs, which ultimately leads to the fact that a place becomes absent for itself («non-place»).
