SYMBOLS AND RITUALS OF MILITARY AFFAIRS AND THEIR SPECIFIC INFLUENCE ON THE IMAGE OF THE SERVICE MEMBER

Summary/Abstract: The article examines the elements of military (combat) traditions and customs (symbols and rituals of military affairs) that give military servicemen a visual identity and represent their readiness for service. The author analyzes the peculiarities of the above elements in the context of building a professional image of military servicemen, emphasizing that the latter belong to a special group – a special team with a core moral imperative of its existence. The symbols and rituals of military affairs, which are important in shaping the image of military servicemen, as they reflect their identity and values, are studied. The author emphasizes that the influence of symbols and rituals of military affairs on the image of military servicemen is manifested both in the internal community and in the perception of external observers. This is due to the fact that they accumulate the glory, courage, resilience, etc. of military servicemen.
