Summary/Abstract: In this section, I have first identified the relevant constitutional principles in the economic analysis of the contract – freedom of contract, equality, protection of the right to property, proportionality and the right of access to justice. Second, I have highlighted how constitutional guarantees apply to a diverse range of contracts. The main conclusion indicates how constitutional principles influence the economic purpose of the contract and the constitutional limits that restrict the economic analysis in the interpretation and application of contracts.
