Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of research conducted in the range of selected problems of building Polish regional innovation strategies (RSI) and foreign patterns of solv¬ing them. The author discusses the problems concerning diagnostic research, the construc¬tion of RSI goals and its strategy implementation. The examples he uses come from the RSI regions of Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Lithuania, Slovakia and Great Britain. At the end of the article the author presents some recommendations for Polish regional RSI partners.
