Summary/Abstract: This article analyses and compares selected aspects of the 2019 and 2024 European Parliament elections, focusing on the main electoral themes, campaign dynamics and political changes in the European Parliament. The study identifies the factors that have enabled the main pro-European factions to retain a majority of seats in the European Parliament despite the growing support of Eurosceptic and right-populist forces. Attention is paid to the absorption of new political trends by the main factions, examining their responses to environmental policy, migration, geopolitical challenges and economic stability. It also examines the fragmentation of Eurosceptic and far-right parties and analyses the reasons why they have failed to significantly upset the balance of power in the European Parliament. The results show that the ability of the main factions to adapt to the changing political environment has been a key factor in their continued dominance, while the main parties have been able to respond effectively to new challenges and incorporate them into their political strategies.
