Summary/Abstract: The terrorist attack of the Hamas group on October 7, 2023 on Israel, ended a period of a decade of relative calm in the Middle East region. With thousands of casualties on both sides, Israelis and Palestinians, this unfortunate event raised serious questions regarding the Israeli security forces’ deterrence capability and brought back in discussion the old issue of the two-state solution. But beyond this decades ongoing issue, the possibility of a regional conflict can generate regional and international geostrategic shifts, those kind who can reshape global strategy. This article will present the consequences that the October 7 terrorist attack could that have on the foreign policy strategies of the world great powers, and the main consequences of the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
