Summary/Abstract: This review concerns the book Writings (1416–1432). The struggle for the Self-Determinationof Central Europe, a translation into English of the works of Paweł Włodkowic. The author ofthe review presents Paweł Włodkowic in short form, focussing on the content of the book.It is important to highlight that the translation is preceded by an extensive foreword andintroduction. They familiarise Paweł Włodkowic and his works as well as the history of theconflict between Poland and the Teutonic Order. This conflict caused medieval Polish au-thors to engage in the problem of international law. In conclusion, the author of the reviewviews the book positively, mainly because it presents to the foreign reader not only the Polishmedieval school of international law but also Polish history.
