Summary/Abstract: The main aim of the article is to interpret artistic works associated withthe weaving medium or fiber art, which show close relations with the text. Word, slogans, sayings, documents, letters, manifestos permeate into textiles, affect the formal aspect, but at the same time clearly strengthen the message itself. Works by Polish female artistsrepresent various techniques, from traditional embroidery and tapestries made of naturalyarn, to objects woven with synthetic fiber, often recycled. These works also representvarious trends, from (auto)biographical stories related to (non)memory, to social, political, ecological, integrative, collective actions. Thus, they are an interesting alternative to tra-ditional sources used in the didactic methods, because TEXTiles are an exceptionallyextensive book, from which you can read a lot.
