Summary/Abstract: Alina Nowicka-Jeżowa’s words from a memorable discussion in “Ogród” in 1994, included in the title of this article, point to concerns about the discrepancies in discourses within the study of Sarmatian culture. The solution lies in interdisciplinary research, supported and promoted since the mid-1990s, as evidenced by successive conferences in the “Between the Baroque and the Enlightenment” series. On the one hand, this article attempts a synthetic assessment of the first publications in this series, while on the other, it highlights the threats resulting from the weakening of cooperation in recent years between researchers from various disciplines studying the history and culture of the nobility.
