Summary/Abstract: The objective of the presented study is an analysis of factors influencing mental health in a group of Polish journalists working in television newsrooms of the three largest broadcasters: TVP (TVP INFO), Polsat (Polsat News) and TVN (TVN24.). Using a questionnaire, 51 reporters and television presenters were anonymously surveyed identifying the most important factors affecting the mental well-being of journalists: (1) the impact of media recipients’ reactions on journalists, (2) the impact of editorial factors on journalists, (3) the impact of information provided by journalists on their mental well-being. The structure of the survey allowed to identify the sources of both positive and negative elements affecting the mental state of this group of media workers.
