Summary/Abstract: The investigation of the contemporary Romanian family portrays an image of a patient whose condition is worsened by current adversities. In the context of 2024 commemorative year dedicated to the pastoral care and caring for the sick, I consider it appropriate to highlight a religious perspective regarding solving the difficulties faced by families, rediscovering their true importance and beauty. In this context, the suggested actions aim at the development of religious education, the rediscovery of the unchanging dimensions of the perennial values of the family framework and also implying an encouragement towards normality. The church’s educational mission, proposed to address the difficulties faced by the Romanian family, includes catechesis programs, both physical and online, conferences, weekly dialogues and meetings with Romanian cultural personalities who can offer valid solutions based on many years of study and a living, active, Christian faith on current topics of interest. The responsibility of the Orthodox Church within society is defining, involving obligations regarding public opinion. Simultaneously, the mission of the Orthodox Church endeavours to outline viable, quick, beneficial, and sanctifying alternatives to the informational rush that inhibits today’s world.
